NARRATIVE
Since the requested project is a non-denominational chapel this building will not resemble a typical church of any specific faith. However, if there is something that unifies all faiths is the humanity we all share. The proposed building will express the three elements that makes us human: the physical body, the mind and the spirit. The main sanctuary which represents the spirit has several focus points where the light plays a major roll revealing the forms around this room.

PRELIMINARY DESIGNS
LOCATION
The selected location fills the left void on the campus after the existing dormitories were demolished several years ago. The chapel is closer to the new dormitories and away from the educational buildings. It is also close to several parking spaces allowing easy access to the building.
CIRCULATION
The circulation of the building is kept within the same context of the campus. It provides easy access to the existing gardens which could be used as a place to relax and meditate.
ORIENTATION
The new building is connected to the gardens. The buildings space follows the same pattern of the existing campus. However, the building is designed to use sun light that moves east to west.
